We're a young Section 8 non-profit, incorporated in November 2025, working at the intersection of cultural preservation and basic infrastructure in tribal and rural Jharkhand.
Our story
Why we started here
Sadupyog Foundation was registered on 11 November 2025 as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013 — a not-for-profit structure that puts every rupee of surplus back into our programs, with no dividends to shareholders.
We chose Giridih, Jharkhand as our base because it's where our founding team already had roots and relationships — with Sohrai and Khovar artists whose work was fading from disuse, and with villages where a broken hand pump can mean a two-kilometre walk for water.
Our approach is deliberately narrow: four focus areas — art & culture, drinking water, housing, and human rights — chosen because they came up again and again in conversations with the communities we work alongside, not because they were easy to fundraise around.
